Mr Cool is Dam Cool

Since I missed YI's class on Monday, I had to get my pump fix, if not I'd have withdrawal symptoms, despite the fact that I dont REALLY like pump. It's like the oat bran I drink in the morning, I've grown so accustomed to it, though the first time I had it I nearly threw up.

Replacing Herny yesterday was Mr Cool, that old timer with tattoos on his thighs. His movements are so seamless, it really seems like the weights (and they're not light) are just attached to his body. I love that he teaches you how to breathe, which no one else seems to do. I was once told that maybe I aint losing weight coz I ain't breathing right.

Anyway, his squat track was exhausting, despite the fact that there were very little bottom halves. (only 8 at the end). Biceps was a killer. I felt like the big bad wolf, huffing and puffing till I blow the house down. Was so engrossed that I forgot to notice whether lionheart had generated another mini niagara falls on his mat.

And the conditioning track, evillllll!!!! One of those where your legs never touch the ground, for crunches. Then got plank some more. Horrible. But good!!! Really enjoyed that class. Aching today.

Oh, before I get grief for not blogging about it, yeah, attended FCI's combat on Tuesday as usual. Was in a chirpy mood, (as in I was), got there late, registration was full, and told FCI that, and he said, "so??" Cant recall much about the class, it being more than 24 hours ago, but I vaguely remember that it was great.

Ben Sim is an experienced certified personal trainer as well and he weight trains himself too.

So, i guess breathing technique and weights go hand in hand for him and is pretty much his second nature!

Almost made it to pump, but ended up in Lm doing step...apparently I have put on weight, so says the LM people..."Aiyo, lei fei tho hou gan yu oh?" and " Wah, lei keh cadbury yong cho, peen kit kat lor" in referrence to six pack, now gone. Sigh...the price to pay for happiness...I'm not complaining, hehehe

Ben Sim is one of my fav pump instructors. Although I have no problems with Horny, have to admit that I will put in the extra effort to make it to Ben's class when he does a replacement.
FBB..the terror abs/crunch track you are refering to is "Whatever Whenever" by Shakira. When the first few strains of that song came on, my response was "oh dear..". First did that track with Jacqueline Wong (GW) in one of her pump classes. I think MNLI (aka Boeing 747-400P) also luvs dat track. Eh...nothing wrong with the bicep track wat...You managed to finish all 24 singles at the end right. Only thing I thot you would have done is do the "Tina Turner walk" (you know la...walk like a duck) whenever the chorus screams "Walk This Way"....hahaha
Oh and btw, I dont think there was any Niagara Falls yesterday, although exhaustive. I think I may have run dry after Wenisa's pump class on Tuesday...dat was a real killer...in the same vein as our dear Richelle..

Thanks for pointing out tht Ben cues the class to breathe in and out correctly. Kinda funny how easy sometimes to forget how to breathe, kan? When I was being PT'd by him he taught me that too, along with a lot of other tips that I practice until today.

I wish you all enjoyment in life (gym classes, friends, cakes..) :-D
